Constructing multi-layed paintings across a plane of vintage books, old papers and documents, artist, Ekaterina Panikanov creates an ambitious project treading the lines of collage-making and installation. Surreal and expressive in nature, Panikanov’s installation uses both paint and ink to manifest her signature vintage mood. Generally monochromatic in nature, to accentuate the Victorian-esque style, Panikanova carefully curates the imagery found in her work with a combination of random animals, catering, portraits and nature.
